It’s painful to watch men who were once fiscal conservatives pander to the American populace with kickbacks and cheesy payoffs.

Senator Frist (appearing with several Republican Senators in the midst of difficult re-election bids) proposed a $100 gas tax holiday rebate to all Americans who paid federal taxes last year and met income guidelines. This would open the “gas rebate” eligibility to over 100 Million Americans.

The money would go to all taxpayers, regardless of car ownership. Are you a taxpayer who takes the El to work everday in Chicago? Here’s your $100 “rebate”!

The money would be sent out near election time to remind everyone to vote Republican. Oh, the money for this rebate is tied to opening up the ANWR for exploration and “sensitive” drilling.
