The way this post generalizes about conservatives (uptigtht, dorks, rich, white, Christian, Heston, Nugent) makes Buffalo Geek also sound like someone who can’t stand anyone who disagrees with him.

Hey, I’m a former Republican with a wife as left as a communist. I have Republican, liberal, libertarian, and anarchist friends. I’m pretty open minded when it comes to the political affiliations of those with whom I consort. A little of the same from the new Republican class would be nice.
This retreat into sameness is troubling to me.

Certainly there are also popular dating web sites that market themselves as catering to liberals, but the main point is that for someone who proclaims such open-mindedness as to have *gasp* Republican and libertarian friends, your post did a lot of negative stereotyping about conservatives - brandishing them pejoriatively into a particular race, economic class, and religion - not to mention the mature name calling.
Obviously that’s your right but it just seems hypocritical.

Come on people, it’s called “Hannidate.” How is that anything but entertaining?
Some liberals are open-minded. Some aren’t. That does not mean that a conservative dating Web site isn’t funny as hell. Do you think they do women seeking women and men seeking men?

All right, now I looked at Hannidate …. and every Republican stereotype not covered at ConservativeMatch (that’s what I was talking about before) is right there. All the dudes are from, like, West Virginia or Michigan. There are many mullets, and many weird-looking sketchballs. For real, look for yourself.
